Get off Sean's back. If it were not for him we would not have made the playoffs (hence fumbe recovery vs Phili and TB). There are far worse mannered players in the NFL and you don't even know what Pittman did all game to gim. Go back and watch the game and see Mike Pittman punch him on plays, finger in the ear hole so get the whole story and GET OVER SEAN. Sean is one the the top safetys in the game and be happy he is here would you rather have that doushe bag Kellen Winslow?
Well, if Kellen Winslow and his friends can spell and use grammar correctly, I'm all for him, even if he's a "doushe bag." I'm still wondering what "fumbe recovery" is and where Phili is located.
Obviously this friend of Sean (or Sean himself?) has no idea that I'm not a Redskins fan, because I could give a horse's patootie about the Skins making the playoffs last season. Wait, why are we still talking about last season? Not to mention that it's awfully presumptuous of Taylor to assume that he's the one who took the Redskins to the playoffs. What about, say, Clinton Portis or Santana Moss? I'd argue that they did as much or more than Sean Taylor, whose taste in just about everything is questionable. I'm always happy to hear from any on who knows Sean. Why Sean Taylor or his friends would care what a blogger thinks is beyond me. But that's another story.
Here's a good example of putting the horse before the cart. From last Friday's Redskins discussion on washingtonpost.com:
Burke, Va.: As an objective observer of the Redskins (Ravens fan), I would agree that the Redskins have built quite a team for this season (definitely one of the top 5 in the NFC this season). However, haven't Skins fans seen this type of hype surrounding a monstrous free agent season and high profile coach acquisitions before? Should fans perhaps conserve their proclamations of the team's 4th Lombardi Trophy until Mark Brunell can prove his worth in this new offense and John Hall can prove he can still kick.
Every team deals with injuries throughout the year, and aside from WR, the Redskins can ill-afford to loose a starting player. Skins fans have a lot to look forward to this season, but this team has a lot more flaws than the fans and local media are willing to admit.
Howard Bryant: There is a considerable amount of hype regarding the Redskins this season. IMO, far too much. it is being driven primarily by the players, who feel ultra-confident. I've covered many playoff teams, two championship teams, and what I've found is this: any team talking title this early isn't ready for it.
The Redskins may look great on paper right now (because they sure didn't look good in the game against the Bengals- I know, it was only a preseason game blah blah blah), and I have no doubt like that Ravens fan that they'll do well. But what happens when injuries occur to starters like Portis? Or, heaven forbid, God himself- er, Sean Taylor? (Sorry, I was channelling some of his ons there.) The Skins have a great defense. As for offense? There's some stars there. On the other hand, I can think of at least 10 QBs who I'd rather have on my team. But only time will tell. Are you ready for some football

Exactly my kind of humor. Right on.
Their's just sumthing abowt bad speeling I cain't stanned....
Liz-
I'm not sure how long you've lived in this area, but I'm so used to Redskins' fans thinking they're going to win the Super Bowl every year. I am a fan of the team, but I do not pay attention to the hype -- because it's wrong most of the time.
Only one month until Caps training camp!
Keep up the great work!
And you wonder why I've turned my comments off....
Rob's right, according to most Skins fans, the Skins are always very close to winning the Super Bowl either this year or next year.
As Skins fan (and season ticket holder) myself, I too can see the obvious holes in the team. Now whether or not they're "ready for prime time" remains to be seen.
