Hail to the Redskins?

I think this says it all, from today's Washington Post:

"A Pointless Exhibition
Injury-Riddled Redskins Drubbed And Fall to 0-3 In the Preseason"

Yes, I realize it's only the preseason. Just look how the 'Skins did last year; they were 1-3 in the preseason and still managed to make it to the playoffs! So one could argue that the preseason, for a multitude of reasons, is not an accurate predictor of how the season will turn out. Hey, even the Texans are undefeated in the preseason at the moment (though they're losing to Denver at this very moment). That's one view.

On the other hand, the Redskins need to start worrying about their offense. Even in the 2005 preseason, when they lost 3 out of 4 games, they were still able to put a sum of 64 points on the board. So far this season? A grand total of 17 points. Out of 3 games (and held scoreless in one). 17! Don't think that offense will win a Super Bowl any time soon. Wasn't it barely a month ago that everyone was extolling the virtues of this team and how great they looked- on paper? I have no doubt that they'll turn things around and start winning some games; they always do. But let's be realistic here; until they get a real QB and upgrade some of their key players, they're not going to the Big Game in the near future.
