The Caps are now looking at the lucrative college demographic to liven up things a little:
The Washington Capitals, Papa John’s and DC101 have teamed up to create Papa John’s College Night, which will debut this Saturday at Verizon Center when the Capitals take on the Carolina Hurricanes. For only $21 students with a valid college ID will be able to purchase a ticket to any Capitals home game this season and will receive a coupon for a free large Papa John’s pizza. To kickoff the Papa John’s College Night, the first 368 students in line this Saturday at Verizon Center (7th and G streets entrance only) with a valid college ID will receive free admission to the Capitals game and will also receive a coupon for a free large Papa John’s pizza. One game ticket and pizza coupon will be given out per person with a valid college ID. Capitals players and mascot Slapshot will be on hand to sign autographs, shake hands and pose for pictures with
students lining up for the Southeast Division tilt with the Hurricanes.
I wonder why 368? Whenever I see that number, I think of Sylvain Cote + Jaromir Jagr. (Now THERE's a weird lovechild!) $21 for a ticket and free large pizza isn't too bad; still a little more than some students would pay, but with the announcement that GW is the most expensive college in America, those kids can probably afford it. (Not me, I worked two jobs when I went there for undergrad.) Then again, I knew a guy there who had two Mercedes convertibles. They were red and black- because sometimes he felt like driving the red one, and other times he was in a black mood. Scary, isn't it?

You think of Cote and Jagr, I think of Eagles and Ovechkin. Strange. Maybe 368 is the number of seats in a section or something.
And college giveaways are good for two reasons: 1) those are your future spenders and 2) college kids won't spend $50 on a ticket, but they'll be more than happy to drop that much on beer during the game. Just get 'em in the door and watch their money disappear.
I used my college ID regularly before the lockout. It was wonderful, the people at the ticket booths didn't care whether it was college night either. Sadly, the ID wore out. I knew I should have gone to grad school.
In response to your video, I will admit that was entertaining and humorous in that it exposed the worst goalie in all of prof. soccer, but I will wager it was another 89 minutes of kicking the ball back and forth. I'm still not convinced.
I still say mine trumps yours. God attempting to squash soccer players with signs is better than one unique play.
Top two most expensive schools are both in the A-10?! Interesting...
And didn't someone go to one of these schools??
