Great game last night. In addition to the win, I was fortunate to run into William and his lovely wife Erica, and even met the mysterious Caps Nut. Unfortunately, I did not see MissChatter and her son, even though we texted most of the night. At least they had a good game to see!
After the game was even more interesting- a certain wonderful someone introduced me to Donald Brashear at Clyde's, so I was able to ask him a few questions. Not surprisingly, he spent his All-Star break in Canada. He doesn't get recognized very often here as opposed to Philly (although fans kept coming up to him, wanting to shake his hand or have him sign something, which he did). I'd imagine that outside of Clyde's, he might not get as much recognition. He said that the whole classical piano thing was blown way out of proportion, just because he decided to play the piano in a hotel lobby one night. I guess he has to answer a lot of questions about that since the story came out. Also, I noticed that he seems to be fond of blondes. Then again, what guy isn't, I suppose.
I also met the guy who plays Slapshot, which was entertaining. He said that kids are always trying to hit him and it gets damn hot in the costume. No big surprises there.
Anyway, it was an interesting end to an interesting evening. Can the Caps keep up this one-game winning streak? (I know, one game is hardly a streak, but given how things have been lately...) Personally, I'd like to see more goals from Eric Fehr!

It was nice meeting you and your husband too. Though I would have I say I am more "reclusive" and "belligerent" than "mysterious."
It isn't too much of a mystery, I admit that I'm simply anti-social...
Clydes? A late night?

I'll drink to that!
Definitely great for "my first hockey game"! Sounds like you had fun after too!
