In what may be the beginning of a process to suspend Terrell Owens, the Philadelphia Eagles have sent the controversial wide receiver a letter that reportedly describes what the club considers inappropriate behavior during the past two weeks, ESPN reported Monday.
Amazing that T.O. thinks that his behavior is entirely appropriate, but what are you gonna do. I'm sure he'll contest this letter and its contents.
The Eagles won’t budge off their hardline stance: T.O. can play for the Eagles or he won’t play at all.
Ha! I'd really like to see that, as I'm sure many T.O. non-fans would as well. The guy needs to shut it; unfortunately, I don't think not playing would teach him a lesson. He'd probably claim unfair treatment or something and continue to whine. People like this really need a dose of reality. Owens is up there with Latrell Sprewell (Mr. I've Got A Family To Feed) in terms of stupidity.
Off to Screen on the Green...can't wait to sit in the heat!

Is his behavior a product of his youth or are his views cultivated from a history of pampering since he was initially discovered in high school football? These 'atheletes' are given totally ridiculous latitude as they progress through high school, college and the pro's. From second hand stories I have heard on sports radio shows (yes, no life for me), college alum's give them monetary gifts, cars, clothes, etc. It appears that whether the player wants it or not, the silver spoon is stuck in their mouth. In the case of T.O., the spoon is just not large enough to shut him up...
Certainly, I do not wish to justify their attitudes, rather, I wish to show how they believe they can get away with it.
In regards to the Eagles putting up with it. Clearly, they are just buying time to get you fans off their pimpled ass. They really don't give a crap what he says, so long as he performs. They spent a fortune on this idiot and they intend to get what they can from him. Afterall, who else is going to pony up the cash for this knuckle head. Maybe the Raiders... Oh, thats right, didn't they blow their wad on Randy Moss?! Another talented ass who sooner or later will just implode like Dennis Rodman.
Hey, what do I know, I am just a starving grad student... with absolutely no athletic skills. If you have not figured it out, I really don't know much about sports or athletes, but I just wanted to chim in.
