Is playing in Dallas that bad?

A cry for help, or attention?

Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens ingested a large amount of prescription pain medication in a suicide attempt at his home, according to a Dallas police report cited by WFAA/Channel 8.
The report indicates that when police asked Owens if he had tried to harm himself, he said yes, the station reported. KTVT/Channel 11 reported Wednesday that a woman named "Etheridge," likely Owens' publicist Kim Etheridge, called police at 7:51 p.m. Tuesday to report a suicide attempt. The station said Owens ingested 35 pills.

Well, that's definitely not an "allergic reaction to pain medication." If he's genuinely depressed, then I feel for him, but who knows what's going on. After all, he's already left the hospital and his own publicist says, "This is not serious." (I realize that his publicist is going to make it sound like nothing happened, but still- she was at the scene.)

Things should shake out later in the day and we'll know more about what's truly happening. Strange stuff...

Yeah that is strange. I'm curious to hear where it goes.

I, too, would want to find some excuse to avoid having to go into Philadelphia. Maybe he thinks the fans there will feel sorry for him and he won't catch as much flak when the Cowboys play the Eagles.

Whoa! This suggests that Terrell Owens might be emotionally unstable and extremely selfish. How shocking!

If it was a true suicide attempt, he wouldn't be let out of the hospital so quickly.

Poor T.O.! I'm going to send him a Get Well card... I sure hope that he can find his smile in time for the Philly game. It's terrible that such a team player and winner would have to go through something like this!
