As usual, the Caps are ahead of the curve:
WASHINGTON, D.C. – September 25, 2006 – The Washington Capitals exhibition game against the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. will be broadcast live on WashingtonCaps.com through the use of B2 Networks. This will mark the first time in NHL history that a game can be viewed exclusively via broadband.
The game can be seen free of charge on the Capitals’ website, WashingtonCaps.com. Fans will need a high-speed internet connection and Windows Media Player 9 or higher. Capitals’ radio network play-by-play announcer Steve Kolbe will call the game with Mike Vogel, senior writer from WashingtonCaps.com, providing analysis. Due to NHL broadcast restrictions, the game can only be viewed by fans living within the Capitals broadcast area.
Although it would be nice to get the game on TV, like some lucky fans in other areas have for the preseason, this is a step in the right direction. And hey, I'm all for the Caps being the first to do something. Hope it works out well- I plan on checking it out!
p.s. Don't forget that Ovechkin is throwing out the first pitch at the Nats-Phillies game tomorrow night, and approximately 7 other Capitals will be at the game as well.

This news would be exciting if not for the fact that: A)My internet doesn't want to work. B)Steve Kolbe.
Bwah! Agree about Steve Kolbe. Bet he's happy that he doesn't have to share the spotlight with Sabourin tonight.
Internet? It's not going to last as long as my Betamax collection... you can wrap that one up in a bow, take it to the bank and cash it for some of that new fancy money stuff...
Caps online? Yeah, that rocks!
