There's sure a lot going on right now in the world of DC sports, isn't there? From newcomers Poti, Kozlov, and the re-arrival of Nylander to the Caps, to Dmitri Young becoming the Nats' All-Star rep*, and the Redskins signing some guy I don't care about, there's a good amount of activity in an otherwise lazy summer. Looks like I have a lot to catch up on when I return from Houston (where you have to fight with Astros staff to get the promotional item, and where they have Waste Management Night- a trash can giveaway).
*Just once I'd like to see the Nats' all-stars stay with the organization for longer than a season or two. This year it's Young, last year it was Soriano, in 2005 it was Hernandez and Cordero. At least Cordero's still around, I suppose; it would be better if he wasn't blowing so many saves. But he is here (like Young, for the moment, anyway), unlike most all of the other guys.

You hear about the newest addition to sports in dc? Jim Rome is going to be on 106.7 wjfk from 1-3pm starting July 16th. This should boost the sports talk in this area, other than the AM radio.
nice blog
