San Jose defenseman Rob Davison missed Tuesday night's game after being sent home Monday night to be with his wife, who was due to deliver their first child. "I'd shoot him if he thought this was more important," coach Ron Wilson said. "He'll forget about this [game] in two weeks; you never forget the birth of your child."

Veteran Rangers defenseman Darius Kasparaitis was sent down to Hartford of the AHL on Tuesday for a 10-day conditioning assignment. The hard-hitting Kasparaitis has gotten off to a slow start, missing the first five games while recovering from off-season surgeries and trying to get back into hockey shape.
Enough hockey talk for now, since Phil is bored with it. I would never want to bore him.
What's up with the Titans picking goons to play on their team? First face-stompers, now this:
Krystal Webb, 21, had [Pacman] Jones cited for an incident at a private party last Thursday at a nightclub. The police report states that Jones became verbally abusive and "spit a huge amount of mucus on Ms. Webb's face and hair, which she preserved for evidence."
Um, ew. "Preserved for evidence?" How? That's disgusting. Is that really necessary? The sad part is that this is the SECOND incident where Jones has spit on a woman at a nightclub. Why and how does he think this is acceptable behavior? Was he raised by wolves? Good Lord.
