| NYC subway hero loves the Capitals! |

A certain eagle-eyed Chanuck noticed the hat that Wesley Autrey, the New York subway hero, was wearing in his TV interviews (first on ABC World News last night and on the CBS Early Show this morning). Here it is:
Bad angle, but you can just barely see the red "Chevy Chase Bank" logo on the hat. On the front is the Washington Capitals logo. Remember that giveaway? Seems Mr. Autrey happened upon one of the hats (I'd love to know how- was he here for a game? did he get it from a friend?) and has been wearing the hat all over town and giving the Caps some free publicity. Too bad he isn't wearing the hat in the traditional manner, since it's more of a plug for the bank. But hey, not bad for a team that's located several hundred miles south of New York City... |

Yea that is pretty cool. You know a producer made him turn his hat before he went on. Stupid Rangers fans!

I found out his brother is one of the guards at Verizon Center (at least, a guard states/claims so). My source is very reliable--one of the NHL off-ice officials who's friendly with a lot of the guards.
